Citizens for Responsible Government

What We Do:

Citizens for Responsible Government will engage in research, education, lobbying, and political action.

We begin by studying the issues of concern, then issuing position statements expressing our concerns and recommending actions that might be taken to address the issues.  The general public is informed by way of letters to the editor, columns in local newspapers, newsletters, a web site, and public meetings with guest speakers.

When appropriate we will contact or meet with elected representatives to inform them of the issues of concern, and to lobby for or against specific legislation that addresses those issues. Before each election we will evaluate and publicize the voting records of elected officials in terms of the responsible government issues over the previous term.

To the maximum extent possible we will cooperate with other citizen-based organizations in addressing issues of concern.
