WHAT WE DO AND HOW WE DO IT

Citizens for Responsible Government engages in research, education, lobbying, and political action. We begin by studying the issues of concern, then issuing position statements expressing our concerns and recommending actions that might be taken to address the issues.

The general public is informed by way of letters to the editor, columns in local newspapers, newsletters, a web site, and public meetings with guest speakers. When appropriate, Citizens for Responsible Government members meet with elected representatives to inform them of the issues of concern, and

to lobby for or against specific legislation that addresses those issues.

Before each election we sponsor public forums where candidates can answer questions from the voters.

To the maximum extent possible, Citizens for Responsible Government will cooperate with other citizen-based organizations in addressing issues of shared concern.
